Susan Zelinsky: i'm embarressed to say I don't know who Fantasia Barrino is... UNLESS, you mean the American idol gal Thomas Lane: I dunno who it is either :-P Susan Zelinsky: HA! i just looked up her name on the web and it said www.fantasiabarrino.com was for SALE! Thomas Lane: Ah Thomas Lane: Isn't American Idol mostly covers? Susan Zelinsky: i wonder if that's who they meant. the girl from A.I. If so, my voice is NOTHING like hers and I bet they'd get someone else to do it. Yes, American Idol is mostly covers, but Kelly Clarkson had some originals. And what was it like working at WaveGroup? Susan Zelinsky: Will Littlejon is an amazing, kind, professional guy. His studio gets an A+ and so do all of his employees. Susan Zelinsky: They take good care of me and the other singers and musicians whenever we go to do a session. Thomas Lane: Semmed like it from the movie included on the disc :-)Did you ever get to meet Avril, Michelle, Cyndi(Right?) and whoever else you've sang for? Susan Zelinsky: Unfortunately I haven't met any of the original artists. Thomas Lane: Maybe the correct question would've been "Would you have LIKED to meet"? Susan Zelinsky: Oh, and I had a blast singing "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun", too. Cyndi's voice was a challenge to mimic. Thomas Lane: It came out good. Susan Zelinsky: Thank you. I would like to meet Cyndi or Madonna. They are veterans of the biz. Thomas Lane: You said before you dressed up for occasion...What was In your oppion, the best character to dress as? Susan Zelinsky: I think it's back to Cyndi again. i just wore a fun skirt and a bunch of bracelets Susan Zelinsky: is that how you spell bracelets? Thomas Lane: Our site has a history of typos, no one cares :-P. Thomas Lane: Makes it more "proffesional"...See? Susan Zelinsky: LOL! I didn't go over the top with any of the outfits, but it helped me get into character. Susan Zelinsky: hee hee Thomas Lane: So did you do any of the songs for KR v2? Susan Zelinsky: KR 2? I liked doing musicals in high school and I was in a band, too. Susan Zelinsky: (sorry for the delay... friend just came to the door) Thomas Lane: No prob Susan Zelinsky: Ok, so anyway, I have been singing in a few bands lately and some of the musicians I worked with were working at Wavegroup. One of the, Darryl Anders (bass), recommended me to Will. Susan Zelinsky: I have been doing commercials and Voice Over work for many years, and lots of acting, so they thought I'd be good at portraying the original singers. Susan Zelinsky: Do you think your readers would be interested in knowing what other games I've worked on? Commercials? Movies? Susan Zelinsky: that's kinda fun trivia. Thomas Lane: Yup. Thomas Lane: I know of one- the Star Wars game right? Susanz4: Yes. Susan Zelinsky: I'm blanking on the name. HA! Thomas Lane: But theyll appreciate any :-) Susan Zelinsky: Battle for Nabu! Susan Zelinsky: Pretty thin. Susan Zelinsky: no, he doesn't. Susan Zelinsky: I asked him about his band. Thomas Lane: What he say? :-) Susan Zelinsky: He was polite and talked to me about it for a minute, but we were between takes and I didn't want to annoy him. Thomas Lane: Ah Susan Zelinsky: He said they are still playing and (back then) were about to come out with a cd. Thomas Lane: Was this pre-Matrix or after? Susan Zelinsky: it was before 2 & 3.
