Video Karaoke

Video karaoke is a relatively new adaptation of a traditional karaoke set-up. The addition is a camera that records the person singing and can overlay them onto a screen creating a more immersive experience.

For video karaoke to work best the camera should be positioned towards a blank screen, a chroma keyed screen such as blue or green works the best allowing the program to easily and quickly remove the background allowing the DJ to apply anything behind the singers such as a music video or interesting 3D graphics.

Video karaoke is entertaining for both young and old and when it is implemented through a good system can be quite interesting and fun. Any background can be applied transporting the singer from the bar to anywhere in the world and further. These require a bit of film knowledge to get the full functions of the players.
